Lumineers
If you have been craving a beautiful smile that allows your inner self to really show through, our dentist may be able to help. Many people today seek to enhance their smiles due to stains, unevenness, and minor chips, gaps, and other damage. While each of these problems can be addressed independently, there is one product that can address them all together: Lumineers.Lumineers are extremely thin, custom-designed porcelain veneers that do not require extensive preparation of your teeth before application. They can give you the smile you want without shots, drilling, or pain, and even though they can last as long as 20 years, they are entirely reversible. Highly translucent, they look much like natural tooth enamel but can give you a whiter, brighter smile that resists staining and even protects your own real teeth.
At your first dental visit, our cosmetic dentist will take an impression of your teeth and send it to the lab, where the veneers will be made. Once they are completed, you will be ready for your next dental visit. Our dentist will check to ensure your new dental veneers fit properly and then etch your teeth. Your teeth will not need the same type of drilling or preparation that accompanies traditional veneers, but gentle etching will ensure a tighter bond. Once they are in place, the veneers and bonding material will be cured with a special light.
Lumineers can give the appearance of straighter, whiter, more uniform teeth. You will be free to eat and drink all your favorite foods and beverages, just as you always have done, and you will not need to follow any new dental hygiene practices. Simply brush twice daily, floss every day, and visit our dentist every six months or as recommended. If you grind your teeth, talk to our dentist about your treatment options, including mouth guards, in order to protect your veneers. With proper care and good dental hygiene, your new smile may last as long as 20 years.
