A gel bleaching solution is painted directly to the teeth, and a special laser light is then used to activate the gel. The gel will be applied and the light will be activated for a 15-minute session, during which you will be free to read, listen to music, or otherwise relax. The treatment will be repeated for three to four 15 minute sessions, for a total of 45 minutes to one hour, depending on the degree of staining and the amount of whitening you desire. In some cases, whitening may enhance the results of other cosmetic dentistry procedures you may be considering, such as dental veneers.

Once you have had a Zoom treatment, your teeth will remain permanently whiter and brighter, but you may need occasional touch-ups in order to maintain the best results. You may also need to avoid or limit foods and beverages that can stain your teeth, such as coffee, red wine, colas, and teas.
